Who Can Learn Reiki?

Anyone can learn Reiki for use on themselves, family and/or friends.  Once learned, individuals may also initiate their own Reiki practice.  A permanent, conscious link between the student and the Reiki source is established by the Reiki Master through an Everybody can learn to work with Reikiattunement initiation (energy transmission).

The attunements are the opportunity to participate fully in one's own healing by placing the hands strategically on the body.  This process is traditionally taught at three levels during convenient, scheduled workshops.  Personal growth and expansion on a soul level is accelerated and supported in all individuals using Reiki.

Reiki teaching varies around the world. In searching out a teacher, as in any other field, ask lots of questions. Reiki is an ancient tradition, so be sure you feel comfortable with the Master you plan on working with as your relationship will continue long after the initial workshop.

Reiki is transmitted by "attunements" or "activations"; it can't be learned fromHealing treatment from a chair a book.  These attunements can only be transferred by a Master who has been trained in the traditional method, which means with the original techniques, training and lots of experience in this practice.  In these days, different new methods with lots of modifications and "new rediscovered stuff" are using the word Reiki.  In this way we are in danger of loosing the true essence.  Search for a true Reiki Master.

By following the steps taught by a trained Traditional Reiki Master/Teacher, anyone is able to direct the energy of Reiki to meet individual needs.  After the attunement, simply by placing your hands on yourself or someone else, the energy starts flowing through.  It fills you first (entering through your head or crown chakra) and then flows out through your hands into who is receiving the healing.  The recipient will draw the appropriate amounts of energy to whichever areas of their body needs it.  You are never drained in the process, as you too are treated as you give treatment.

Another Reiki treatmentTraditional Reiki has three Degrees.  Reiki brings the body into balance so it can heal itself and the person who receives it is simply made better physically, mentally and spiritually; both the giver and the receiver are brought closer to Wholeness.
